Professor Xiong has published more than 40 papers, including more than 20 EI/SCI papers. And she also has published 7 professional books and 2 monographs. She won one second prize of Henan Science and Technology Progress Award and one third prize of Henan Science and Technology Progress Award. She won three excellent academic papers award on Natural Science in Henan Province. She was granted five invention patents.
Speech Title: Control method for improving power quality of high-permeability photovoltaics connected to low-voltage distribution network
Abstract: Photovoltaic generation is a kind of new energy power generation technology with strong vitality because of its abundant resources and pollution-free. However, the high-permeability photovoltaic in the distribution network will increase the power quality problems, such as three-phase unbalance and overvoltage. Aiming at these problems, a coordinated control method of integrated static var. generator (SVG), inverter control, distributed power supply and energy storage system control is proposed. The control strategies of transformer overload, bus under/over voltage, energy storage battery maintenance, and three-phase unbalance in the distribution network are studied. The proposed control strategy is used to improve the power quality of the low-voltage distribution network. This method has been applied to the project of Xuji Group Co., Ltd. in Australia, and the operation results show that the method has good effect on power quality improvement.
