Research Experience:

Shoudao Huang currently serves as the Secretary of the Party Committee, a second-level professor and a doctoral supervisor at College of Electrical and Information Engineering of Hunan University, member of the expert group of the Central Military Commission of China, an expert enjoying the special allowance of the State Council, a national key R&D project leader, Yuelu Scholar of Hunan University. He is also the chairman of the China Magnetic Materials and Equipment Standardization Working Group, China Electrotechnical Society, a senior member in IEEE, the chairman of the Hunan Electrotechnical Society and the Hunan Renewable Energy Society and other academic organizations.

Shoudao Huang has long been engaged in the research of permanent magnet direct-drive power generation technology, special motor design and control, etc. The research results have been widely applied and delivered significant economic and social benefits. He has presided over more than 50 national key research and development projects, key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key national-level international scientific and technological cooperation projects, national science and technology support plan projects, military products, national defense pre-research and enterprise commissioned projects. He is the owner of over 30 national inventive patents. He has published 4 monographs and more than 100 academic papers. He has won 5 national, and 10 provincial science and technology awards, among which, he has won the second prize of the National Technical Invention Award (ranked No.1). He is also selected as one of the first batch of “Excellent Graduate Student Supervisors” in Hunan Province.
